Hunting Valley’s neighboring community, Chagrin Falls, offers a spectacular view of the town’s waterfall. The 20 feet high waterfall is located in the middle of town next to an ice cream shop. The Chagrin Falls Recreation Center offers swimming, tennis, summer camps and other children’s activities.
Nearby Beachwood has a Family Aquatic Center for residents and people who work in the community. It has waterslides and swimming pools and is open during the summer months. Another attraction is the Beachwood Place Mall. The mall has upscale stores like Saks Fifth Avenue, Dillard’s and Nordstrom.
There are over 120 options for shopping, dining and entertainment within the mall. Hunting Valley is only a short drive to various Amish Country restaurants and shops. Residents can enjoy authentic Amish fare and shopping.
The community is also relatively close to Lake Erie and Cleveland’s Little Italy neighborhood. For residents who do not mind a short drive, Cleveland has a number of exciting activities for the whole family. The Cleveland Botanical Gardens have several gardens an art gallery and children’s activities.
The Cleveland Museum of Natural History is fun and educational. It has a large variety of exhibits from dinosaurs to planets and more. It also offers classes and programs for all ages. The Cleveland Orchestra is a must see for music lovers. It holds concerts for different area symphonies and orchestra and is home to the annual Blossom Music Festival.
Hunting Valley has one kindergarten through twelfth grade private, all boys’ school named University School. Several of the area children attend the school. Other children who do not attend the private school go to schools located in the Orange City School System or West Geauga School System.
Hunting Valley is near several well-known universities and colleges. The Case Western Reserve University, the University of Akron, Kent State University, John Carroll University and Cleveland State University are all located within an hour of the community.
Hunting Valley is one of the most affluent communities in Ohio and the country. Homes in the community are typically large and sit on several acres of rolling land. Since the village is in a rural area, there is plenty of room between homes. Homeowners maintain beautiful lawns year round adding to the elegance of the area. Hunting Valley is a great choice for people who love rural living but with the close amenities of a big city.
