Organizations and Recreation Facilities

Organizations and recreation facilities are vital to a community. The Orange County Senior Center provides programs and services for adults and families with age related issues. There is also a Senior Outreach Program can help you find resources available in the community to help you.

Some of the services they help to provide are medical insurance assistance, transportation, caregiver support, blood pressure screenings, AARP tax assistance, legal consultation, and low vision support groups. Indoor and outdoor aquatics programs are available. An athletic association helps to organize sports program for the school children.

Beech Brook is a mental health agency to help those who are emotionally disturbed and children that are at risk. The Cleveland Institute of Music, Early Childhood Center, Pepper Pike Learning Center, Jewish Family Services Association, Kiwanis Club of Lander Circle, Pepper Pike Learning Center, Orange Community Library, New Directions, Orange Arts Center, and a YMCA are all available recreation facilities and organizations who serve the community.

Surrounding Areas

Surrounding Pepper Pike are some great towns and cities. To the north, from east to west, are LyndhurstMayfield Heights, and Gates Mills. To the south, from east to west, are Orange, Woodmere, and Moreland Hills. To the East is Beachwood and to the west is Hunting Valley.

Many of these towns are included in Orange Township which Pepper Pike separated from in 1924. It covers a total of seven square miles. Right around 6000 people live in the area of Pepper Pike. A person of importance that was born in the area was President James A. Garfield in 1831.

Pepper Pike Schools

Orange City School System is well known to have exceptional schools and are some of the highest ranked schools in Ohio as well as the whole United States. Orange Inclusive Preschool takes care of the youngest children in the area. Moreland Hills Elementary School educates children from kindergarten to sixth grade.

Seventh and eighth grade is served by Ballard Brady Middle School in the area. The oldest school children go to Orange High School. All these schools are committed to excellence and engaging students in learning. For continuing education, Ursuline College is also located in Pepper Pike and served students of all ages.

Pepper Pike is a great area to live and an amazing place to raise a family. With such great organizations and recreation facilities, the nice surrounding area, and the top notch school district, you should easily realize that this is a family oriented community that caters to its residence.
